0-33 DA in 4 weeks. This is what happens when you focus on distribution first product. I've built heaps of apps in the past and learn the best way to increase your chance for success is the following blueprint
Distribution > Problem > Solution > Product
Our app bugreporting.co solves a bug problem for my agency in capturing user feedback and improving client relationships. Our clients love us even more because of this.
But we wanted to go with a distributed first method so our product was built to focus on growth in the following ways
- "Powered by", effectively earning a free backlink from every customer of ours as we're a widget tool
- Building our product with integrations in mind, this meant we launched our app on the following marketplaces
- Slack marketplace
- Chrome Extension marketplace
- Zapier marketplace
- Shopify marketplace
This did two things for us, helped us acquire customers "freely" through those platforms and also got us some high domain backlinks
We focused our content heavily on "problem intent", instead of going keywords first we went problem first, then we found content we could write to address those pain points and then effectively found keywords that will help with those painpoints
Last thing we did, again to do with engineering product and growth in one is we built a "magic link" of sorts (this is in beta), but effectively meaning we create a canvas over your website and you can access that directly via a link I autogenerated and emailed to customers.
This way they say the value first hand without even trying the product, all the had to do was "claim the account" to be there's. The second they did, they could add the snippet to their website, this solves our customer's problem and we get a backlink.
